Frequently asked questions

How does remote support work?

You get in touch and tell me what is going wrong. If it helps, I connect to your computer over the internet, with you watching, using a remote-access tool I will explain before we start. I fix the problem, check that it works, and you can end the session at any time.

Is it safe to give someone remote access?

It is a fair thing to ask. You stay in control: I only connect when you invite me, you can watch everything I do, and you can disconnect whenever you like. I will never ask for your passwords by email.

Do you come on-site?

No. Everything is done remotely, which keeps costs down and means no waiting for a call-out. I am based in Katikati, Bay of Plenty, and I support people across New Zealand.

How much does it cost?

Small fixes start from $50, hourly support is $70/hour, and monthly support starts from $100/month. You always know the price before I start, and there are no contracts.

What is the free 15-minute tech check?

I look over your setup and tell you the first thing I would fix. No obligation and no sales pitch. Request yours here.

What if you cannot fix it?

I will tell you honestly, and I agree the price with you before I start any work, so there are no surprises.

Who am I dealing with?

TechSolved is a new, one-person business run by Caleb Lambert, so you deal with me directly. More about me.
